Pastor for Youth & Young Adults Ministries at Valley Korean United Methodist Church
Job Summary: This part time position is responsible for leading our youth and young adult ministry, as well as recruiting, supporting, and maintaining the participation of our youth and young adults. The Youth Pastor will collaborate with the Senior Pastor and other Ministry teams, and report to the Senior Pastor on a periodic basis.
Characteristics:
1. A faithful follower of Jesus Christ with a deep personal relationship with Him
2. A clear vision and passion for youth ministry
3. Strong communication skills with youth and young adults
4. A leader and mentor who shows the example of Christian life
Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare for, and lead Friday night meeting and Sunday services and activities. (Including some activities during a year)
2. Provide leadership to overall youth and young adult ministry
3. Recruit teachers and facilitate the training of leaders among youth and young adults
4. Participate in staff meetings and one-on-one meetings with the Senior Pastor
5. Communicate effectively with youth, young adults, and their parents
6. Other duties as required and requested by the Senior Pastor and Ministry teams
