NGO 터키 지진 피해 복구를 위한 긴급 구호활동을 진행한다. 지난달 28일 발생한 진도 7.0규모의 강진으로 큰 피해를 입은 터키 남서부 지역 주민들을 돕기 위해 현지에서 의료진 파견 및 물품 지원 등 다양한 형태의 도움을 진행하고 있다.
터키 지진 피해 복구를 위한 긴급 구호활동을 진행한다. 지난달 28일 발생한 진도 7.0규모의 강진으로 큰 피해를 입은 터키 남서부 지역 주민들을 돕기 위해 현지에서 의료진 파견 및 물품 지원 등 다양한 형태의 도움을 진행하고 있다. 터키 정부 발표에 따르면 이번 지진으로 최소 497명이 사망하고 14,000여명의 부상자가 발생하였으며, 건물 붕괴 위험으로 구조 작업이 중단되어 사상자는 더욱 늘어날 것으로 보인다.특히 진앙지 인근 도시인 이즈미르에서는 전체 건물의 70%가 파손되는 등 가장 큰 피해를 입었다.이에 현장조사단을 급파하여 정확한 피해 상황을 파악하고 필요한 물품을 확인하기로 했다. 또한 의약품, 텐트, 담요 등 생존에 필수적인 물품을 전달함으로써 이재민들이 하루 빨리 일상생활로 복귀할 수 있도록 도울 예정이다. “갑작스러운 재난으로 삶의 터전을 잃은 사람들에게 위로와 응원을 전한다”며 앞으로도 지구촌 곳곳 소외된 이웃들을 돕는 일에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
